Our Story
Formed in 2022, the Global CCS Foundation seeks to harness philanthropic funding to support programs that will advance carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) as an integral part of the net-zero emissions future. We are the world’s first and only foundation focused exclusively on the advancement of CCUS.
We have extensive and deep relationships with the foremost CCUS experts worldwide. Our approach centers around partnering with organizations and experts with deep content knowledge, bringing together an optimal team to develop breakthrough solutions. While independent, the Foundation has a close affiliation with the Global CCS Institute and intends to leverage its world-class research, advocacy, and technical capabilities to advance the Foundation’s mission.
The Global CCS Foundation’s mission is to increase the impact of carbon capture and storage to help achieve a net-zero world.
